Agent Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson), a retired agent for the US government has a daughter who was kidnapped in Paris while she was on vacation with her cousin. The group who held her daughter captive are human traffickers/ pimps out to sell his daughter. The last conversation Bryan Mills had with her daughter is while she was being abducted in their apartment.
